Hello,
I'm a long time KZ fan from sunny North Dakota here to research my upcoming 1300 overhaul.
I have a 1981 kz1300 I got for next to nothing that I was able to get running. Has 65K on the odometer. The engine needs a refresher.
Here is my 1300 when I got it home.
And here is my daily driver, kz650

Welcome, Tyler.
That looks like a nice 1300. What sort of problems do you have with the bike?
A neat looking 650, too. That engine is a great little unit.

The 1300 needs some head work, valve seals are gone for sure, looking at doing the entire top end.
I had that little 650 torn down to the last screw, it was a mess when I got it. Felt sorry for it and had to make him right again. I agree its probably the best engine of the era.
