Greetings to a great group!

Hi all,
First a big thank you to the wealth of info here. I been here for awhile but never did a proper hello!
I have my trusty 79 A1 still going strong as a daily driver after 20 plus years.
I've slowly pieced her back together after many other "fixers" by no means a restoration but very reliable and safe for my riding style.
I first found this site way back in the early days! The early tech articles saved my butt several times.
This bike put a big smile on my face at 29, still does the same at 54!
Let the good times roll, and roll, and roll some more!

Your bike looks good, with mostly standard parts too. How many miles / km has it covered? Which of the bike’s characteristics appeal most to you?

Thanks, mileage is unknown unfortunately. It had an 80s version speedo on it with about 23k. I've covered a lot of NH miles with her since then.
It was for sale in a field with tall grass growing up around it, lots of weird "fixes" (chopped up harness was the worst of it...and a bad starter clutch...which I found out shortly after buying it!)
The more I could read up on the bike, the more effort I put into collecting missing bits when I could afford to. I do have side air box covers but one is broken! It's also got the dyna coils upgrade. I did the tensioner (zx-11) and pingel petcock upgrade. Lower temp fan switch and Engine Ice...Rotella-T for oil.
I always loved the 70s bikes. My Dad had two CBX's so I needed to give him some competition. Despite the weight, I love how she handles. I found it a very easy bike to ride from day one. Coming from a cb750f (still on the road!) and kz1000 (in pieces at the moment). Love keeping the old stuff on the road, it's always a conversation starter. She's a little more fun in cooler weather for leaf peeping.
