GPZ900 FUEL TAP DUAL VACUUM PIPE FEED
10 years 9 months ago - 10 years 9 months ago
Need some advice from anyone running a GPZ900 Fuel Tap on a CARB Model 1300/6 using DUAL vacuum feed pipe set-up.
Do you take the 2 vacuum feed pipes to the tap from 2 separate carb intakes or from the same 2 ?
Ran bike today with ONE vacuum feed pipe & its ok until 60 mph +..........then fuel starvation so need to use DUAL vacuum pipe set-up.
Thanks

Could you snap a photo of the ports on the Tap?
Unless I am wrong, I thought the automatic valves only had one vacuum port on the tap.
If it does have one V. Port, it should only need one Vacuum source to open the diaphragm.
I have had several Kawasaki's over the years and they never experienced fuel starvation with the single vacuum source.

TODD
It does have only one V Port.
The question I asked was relating to a DUAL feed set-up to the single tap inlet from 2 of the SIX inlet tracks, via DUAL pipes using a T Piece in the system as described in the post a few months ago.
If you dont have this type of set up fitted, then you wont have the answer to my question.
Could anyone running this system please assist ?
Thanks

PETE:
From my post, I have run this set up before as written above.
The tap should run just fine with a single Vacuum source. If it doesn't then there is possible an issue with the diaphragm or possible low vacuum.
