Hi,
Well I retired after 30 years and it's time to start a new line of work. So I've decided after working on my own bikes for years to start to restore them. Not to start off easy I've acquired a 1981 kz1300 that's been sitting in a carport for a decade or two, which is probably why I got it for $200. It's almost complete but I'm going to be looking for the headlight assembly and side covers. I've got a lot of soda blasting and time with an ultrasonic cleaner, and polishing ahead of me.
So far it seems like a rather cool bike, I remember them when they came out and it sure feels smaller to sit on that it's ever looked in pictures!
Glad to see a great site like this, looking forward to getting started!
