Hey fellow Quackeh Heads..
I've been following kz1300.com for years now and even contributed a bit with the
dual alternator kit
documentation I had from 'back in the day' when Sir David Ewing ran the site. And yes, that man should be Knighted for all the work he did and shared with us about this platform.
I'm currently restoring my 1979 A1
. I'm the original owner, it has over 130k on the clock and was tired from mile one. Seriously, this bike burned oil at a rate of almost 1 quart EVERY tank of gas. Kawasaki deemed it within the bounds of 'normal' consumption and at the time I was too young to stand my ground. We all live, learn, and grow, yes?
Back in 1983 I bought a bunch of KZ parts from a dealer going out of business. All of those parts are now slated for the KZ rebuild. I should have bought more.
Also currently restoring some other marques. A couple of /2 BMW's, and a 1987 ATK. I won't bore ya'll with those resto's but everything is here at the
Candy Butt Association
website should you be interested. Most everything is under the 'Forums' section.
Well, this into is already long in the tooth - sooo, I'll conclude by saying it's really Coolio to see kz1300.com move forward and improve. And I'll contribute too.
Cheers from the central coast of California, USA!
