Oh !! that's a nasty one. I can see the crack on the side of the gear. Nice catch there Mister.

you're looking for part # 49022-1005 ( I looked one up for the 1980) which used to cost $39 . I don't see any listed on EBay right now but I've had the strangest luck with some of the odd parts by calling my local Kawasaki dealer. He didn't have what I was looking for but when he checked Kawasaki in Japan, they did. I had to wait 2-3 weeks for the parts to come from Japan but it was worth it to get OEM parts.
