Greetings from Kansas, where a thirty mile per wind is considered a light breeze. Don't really have much to say about myself. I have had a lot of motorcycles, currently five. I have a 2015 Ducati Diavel, a 1986 Honda Nighthawk, a 1980 KZ1300B, a 1974 Suzuki GT, and a 1967 Honda S90. And, of course, a very understanding wife.

I purchased the KZ yesterday, 04-23-16. I did not want the touring version, but it was a good enough deal (I hope) to make it worth while. I am planning on converting it to a ride similar to an A model. I am not concerned with everything being "exact," I just want it to look sharp and roll down the road with that magnificent engine out for the world to see.

I have always been fascinated with different engines, triples and sixes especially. Sadly, I am at best a second-rate mechanic. I get around this by picking the brains of others. So, expect a lot of questions, some probably not that smart. Now, I need to find out about parts.

My best,
MZ

Welcome. What condition is the bike in? Can you post some photos, please?
By the way, is the Nighthawk a 650?

Welcome to the forum from a member in the UK. Just ask and most members will chime in re any problems. The FAQ section is a must read. As stated we all like photo's to drool over. So when you have the time place them on the site.
All the best with your project. Mine is still a pain in the arse, but what a machine.

Welcome to the site!! First question from me would be " How are you going to tornado proof the bike?" Hate to see you riding the "vortex".

I also have a pet peeve on this site with members not completing their profile. I really don't care about your birth date, or your Facebook , Twitter account etc. , but when we are conversing with each other sometimes the lingo is hard to understand until you "see" in the members profile that he's from Australia, New Zealand, Ireland England, Scotland etc. Also it helps to know what country since the time zones are important. If you're really not happy sharing your town or city, then just put in your province or state and country, please. (Just asking)
