Hey group.
I'm the new member. I bought a Kz1300 a few years back. It was all in peaces. Not even a rolling chassis. It's been sitting in the garage for the last 5 years. I have 5 spare engines and about 10 boxes full of parts. Today I went in the garage and something append. I decided to rebuilt the bike. It's a 1981 A3 ebony black. I started by looking in all the boxes. As far I know i'm missing the head light and flashers but everything else seems to be there.
Fisrt I will have the frame powder coated since it was strip to bare metal and strated to rust in some area. So I striped the few parts left on the frame and prep the wheels for powder coating also. In a few weeks i should have a "roller". I will probably need technical info so i'll be bugging you guys from time to time.

Welcome aboard!! Working on a basket case. you're not the first and neither am I although I too am working on a basket case.
How in god's name did you end up with 5 spare engines. Trying to start your own race club??
Good luck with your project and post when you're stuck. Lots of our members are here to help.
2 things-
One of my pet peeves is when new members don't provide their location in their profile. It helps us understand when you post and we reply if you're halfway around the world from us. Also helps with interpreting the lingo in your posts. Some of our folks are from the UK, Australia, New Zealand etc. and we all tend to talk differently. Knowing where you are helps us understand what you're trying to ask. Do us a favor please and update you're profile with at least your location.
Second, we're a bunch of old farts around here and we all love candy and by that I mean eye candy. Please post some pics of your "project". We love to follow through on member's builds. It's inspirational for all of us.
sincerely,
Kawboy

Come on now guys. Surely you're capable of shoving those engines into your USB ports to get the exchanges going. :woohoo:
