Hi 13 Lovers,
I have a '81 1300 which took some time to get running properly with the help of my brother, Dinosaur. Me and him spent many hours to get it fixed. I will tell you more about that at a later stage. Glad to be a member of this site. Till next time.

Jooste,
Welcome to the club from Little England !!
I had an "81" Z1300 a few years ago.
If it is an A3 model then be aware it is a pretty unique bike & different to every other model (A1-A2-A4-A5).
It was the first 1300 model to be built in the USA as the A1 + A2 were built in Japan & it was only made for 1 year so quite rare.
Other than a different ignition system (pick-ups & CDI Box) it is the same for most other parts.
Regards
Pete F

Thanks for the input! I took a look at the bike in you gallery and that's the one that has become difficult to procure without a large expense. Sometimes a used one shows up on ebay but that hasn't happened since this summer.
My intentions are to find one cheap, sand the rust off of it and coat it black to match my motor's color.
The triangle safety crash bars can be bought but not worth 300+ USD to me. Like for example this ebay item: 190661381135.
