The Kawasaki looks amazing, Dave. Nice and original. The CBX is beautiful too.
What are your opinions on the comparative riding experience of each?

Might be a bit harder to own a complete set of 6 cylinder bikes nowadays. Was a time you only had to grab a CBX, KZ1300, and Benelli Sei. Now you gotta add the 1500 Goldwing, 1800 Goldwing, Valkyrie (ALL 3 models), the K 1600 from BMW, and that's not even counting the RC166 race bike..... :woohoo:

Thanks for your kind comments! I'm looking forward to meeting other owners. Do you know how to post photos in the gallery? Dave

They are two completely different machines. The CBX is, of course, a very fast high performance machine. In fact, it was the fastest I had ever ridden until I purchased a 2005 Hayabusa (which I still own)! The KZ1300, on the other hand is smooth, comfortable, quiet...a really great touring machine circa 1980...a blast from the past, so to speak. It would really be great to have a first-rate cruise control on the KZ, but I'm keeping it bone stock for historical value...except for a new stereo which I installed...just couldn't abide by the old stock radio.
