Crash bar spacer? was created by Mikez
No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationSo I was looking to install a crash bar that I bought a while back for my kz yesterday. Wound up frustrated trying to figure out why the fitment on the bar ends was so much farther apart than the motor bolts.

After doing some web searches today I came to find out that these bars tend to come with an extra long bolt with spacers. Which wasn't included when I bought mine off of ebay  .

I managed to find another ebay bar with that bolt& spacer included, but that listing has already ended (item ). Can anyone suggest another place where I could get this extra long bolt and spacer? Thanks so much!

Say Mike:

You should be able to go to the hardware store and procure some hollow bar-stock.

Use a thick-wall stock so you get the support needed down low. Bring the bolt with you to gage the I.D. of the bar, then cut to fit.

Chamfer the I.D. and O.D. after you cut the stock.

I have the same bars on my A-4, and the spacers don't look too involved.

Regards.

Todd.

Good idea thanks Todd!

That should take care of the spacer for sure. Maybe I can do the same for a bolt and cut some threads on the ends to fit the nuts to.

Probably what I'll wind up doing :).
