Center stand helping frame handle was created by StanG
I just had a short talk about putting the bike on center stand and this photo got posted. With permission, I am re-posting it here.
Is this something that is Kawasaki or aftermarket, or diy? I can't put my bike on the stand, no way. I think the angles and pivoting points of the KZ1300 center stand are bad design.
Anyway, anyone familiar with these or something similar?

Yes that is an OEM part although mine has a black finish to it.

yep, I've got one, black too, but it will not make its way onto the bike again as indeed the bike is too heavy for me to put it on the centre stand. I have the same issue with my KZ1000P when all the police kit is on it.

I'f you'd ever be in the market of getting rid of it let me know. I'd give it a try. My knee is bad, but otherwise I am quite strong, so perhaps it would work. My biggest problem is there is nothing solid to firmly grab onto, this perhaps could help.

I wonder if a center stand from the ZN1300 would fit? The construction is really clever and make it so much easier to lift up compared to the Z1300.

Hi Stan, regarding the handle to help lift the bike on the center stand. I had the real problem with it, every time praying, that i don't drop the bike while holding the frame just under the seat with my hand, on the top of that I'm not the strongest guy in the universe. Than at some point i build the passenger grab bar in which part of it is actually the handle itself and after that setting the bike on the stand have dramatically improved.
