Rear brake master cylinder was created by fastpapaw
Rear brake master cylinder is leaking on a '79 and I can't seem to find a rebuild kit anywhere. Anyone know where to source one?
Thanks,
Mike

Sorry but there is no "rebuild kit" available anywhere for the rear master cylinder. That is one of the more difficult things to get parts for on the 1300's. They only used that brake setup on the 1300's and voyagers, so there are no other parts that interchange.
You can get new piston seal for it from the UK. Scroll down in the link below and you will find them. Costs about $40 for the seals.

You can take the old cylinder apart and polish the piston and clean it up, if it is scored badly, then you have to find another one or adapt a different master cylinder.

Corvettes/antique vehicles have similar master cylinder wear problems. The cylinder can be re-sleeved with SS or brass.I think it it White Post who advertise in Hemmings. There are others. As for cups/seals a real good brake/clutch shop should be able to source what you need - I found the proper Ducati/Scarab cup at a local brake expert in Edmonton. Lee.
