I'm looking for pictures, details and feedback for converting to a 4 or 6 pot front caliper. Information and tips regarding off-set, adapter patterns and in particular: "Was the master-cyl. changed?" I see there has been some dialogue in previous threads but the info is sketchy and incomplete. thanks !

Another of my "back burner" projects. I have a spare wheel with disks mounted on an axle in fork lowers. I have the spacer for one side but I'm missing the speedo drive for the other.

I'm using a fork brace to hold the lowers together and in line.

I have a pair of 6 pot callipers (from a 'busa I think) ready to help- mock up parts. Thinking I will mock up mounting plates in MDF, translate to CAD drawings and then try to get them CNC machined. (The last time I asked a company to quote for CNC work was not a fun time!)

At the moment I'm having trouble getting a speedo drive at a sensible price. I don't want to pay through the nose for something that isn't vital to get a bike running. If I knew dimensions I reckon I could cut a piece of 22mm copper pipe to use as the speedo drive spacer.

I already have ZZ-R1100 controls on my bike after doing clutch conversion. I have 6 pots on my ZZ-R100 (ZX11) and the stopping power is immense! So I think the ZZ-R1100 master should be good on the Z1300 also but I suppose there is a lot more weight.

But guys - don't wait for me - I need to get my bike roadworthy before I can find time to mock up and model the brackets - it's going to be a long time :(

When I have got around to CAD models I will post them on here.

I was thinking about converting over to late harley brembo calipers as they are still using a disc that is about the same size .

If you have a cad file I can send it out to the guy who fabbed my bolt so I could add a extra stator to my 79 A1. He will do small one off jobs at a reasonable fee. I know whacha mean about getting a hard time from those shops. When I inquired about getting a bolt made up a lot of them blew me off? This guy I found in GA is really great.

Hey Scotch- how did you make out on this mod.

www.pretech.co.uk/page_31.php?pgenme=catalogue

These can be bolted straight on - but expensive- may give some ideas.
And the German shop has calipers and rotors

Pretech would be the easiest way to go but there's no challenge in that !

Still contemplating. thanks !
