Another option would be to replace the speedo drive gearbox with a kilometer based gearbox. I see several gearboxes on EBay and one of them is located in Canada. It would be worth an inquiry to see if it came off a bike with a kilometer speedo head. My 1980 B2 is a Canadian bike with a speedo clocked in Kph with a 240 Kph max on the clock. I'm sure there are a few different drives out there because some of the bikes had 160 Mph gauges and some had 85 Mph gauges, Maybe have a read through this search   Using the search tab for "speedometers"

Coincidentally I just took the bike to at least 160 km/hr. Perhaps 170, as I kept accelerating. By the way, I truly am not a fan of these neutered 80 miles speedometers!
I was with a passenger, and the rear shocks set to be the softest as like that I'm trying to cheat my way to have the seat lower. All the bearings on my bike are brand new, and I think the air pressure in both front forks and rear shocks is good (I haven't checked in a long time).
I am wondering what you mean by 'wave'. The bike behaved differently from what I'm used to, and that's due to being much taller I assume. But I wouldn't describe anything as a 'wave'. I have a Vmax with much bigger offset than yours, and no wave or any problem. And it's true - some bikes come with offset by design.
The KZ1300 feels different when cornering even at slow speeds due to geometry, and it took a bit getting used to it. 0verall, it feels like it wants to stay upright so I try harder to lean over. In straight line it seemed stable, but honestly I can't say anything definite considering the wind factor, passenger and it was just a short burst.

I'm wondering about the air pressure in your forks. Are the connected or not? Are they equal?

I used the term 'calibration' loosely, meaning just slapping on the 160 mph dial (they sell them printed) over the current one wouldn't show the speeds correctly. I understand now that there have to be a different ratio gears inside both speedometers and it's not the gear on the wheel issue. Which is too bad - it would be cheaper than buying a good looking 160 mph whole set of controls from eBay. Not that desperate, haha I can live with the one I have. Maybe one day, or perhaps I find how to reverse engineer and hack that speedo to show different numbers.

Yes-the 79' bikes had the 160mph speedometer. The 80 and newer had the 85mph speedometers.(This is in the USA)
