Hey Mike,
Just buy a spare inlet off Ebay (cheap) & a switch.
Get the work done on these, then do the swap so your bike is not off the road for more than an hour or so.
Then sell the original inlet on Ebay & recover the cost !!
It worked for me that way !!

Thanks guys, I did get the switch from the german site, that's the one in now, maybe my temp gauge is wrong and it's reading high, although it does seem hot just by feel, maybe I should also change my temp sender ??, I would never of thought to use the Honda one, simple when someone explains ... I have a spare inlet so I will get around to doing the mod, thanks again for the info, cheers
