Thanks, as soon as it warms up I'll be in the garage setting the 2 valves then starting it up. I'm having trouble finding a used tach/speedo though. I wondering if get one from the USA in MPH would changing the faceplate to the Kilo one work?

My '81 has Km on it in smaller, blue font.
1981 KZ1300, '98 Suzuki GSF1200S, '80 Honda CT110, '11 Honda CBR250, '75 Honda CL360, '00 Honda XR100R

First off, if you buy a MPH gauge and change out the face to a Km face, the odometer will still read out in miles. And I'm not sure if the speedo drive hub is the same.
EBay has clusters coming up all the time.
Mrmonkeyclaw (dealer name on EBay) has been splitting a number of KZ's and ZN's. If you can find an item he has listed on EBay, you could send him a request and see if he's sitting on a cluster
