Hi,
Here are some pictures of the new stainless grab rail for the 1300s, INCLUDING A1 and A2. The grab rail will fit all models, for fitting onto A1-A2 you will need to buy the additional fixing supports shown on the picture attached.
Another feature that can be added is the slide-on rack for your pack. The model shown is a prototype, the final version will look a bit nicer and have an integrated locking latch. (the prototype is fixed with two screws)
We start producing the grab rails next week and will list them on our website asap
Check www.kawasaki1300parts.com after mid-January.
Regards from -25 C (last week) Finland

All of this talk about rails and grab-things got me to thinking. This was the result. The stud for the handle was originally designed to have a bolt as a pivot but I didn't care for the bolt-head and it's appearance so it was changed to a steel pin with a low profile head. Not pictured is a small Allen-screw on the bottom of the handle stud, used to retain the pin. The handle was a spindle adapter used for attaching a wire wheel or stone, etc to a motor armature. The rubber grip is from one of those household mops with a sponge-squeeze lever in the mop handle. It was the perfect diameter for threading onto the threads of the former spindle adapter. I had intended on using a spring loaded small ball-bearing to catch detents in order to keep the handle in both the up and closed position but decided it wasn't required. I prefer the handle to close on it's own with gravity and it stays down without any form of latching.
