Also finally heard back from the shipping company I contacted. It would have cost $1,650 to ship it from here to melbourne! Didnt check any other locations around australia.

That's not bad I suppose for shipping But it does make a $500 bike seem expensive though here in aus they are worth a bit more then in the states.
