1979 KZ1300 Starlight Blue Touch In Paint.
5 years 8 months ago
Does anyone have, or know where to source a Touch In Paint Stick or Pencil for our KZ1300A1 Blue or has anyone found a very close matching colour from a car manufacturer ??
I have a few very small stone chips on my front fender and need to just touch them in, but unfortunately over here in the Trash Can of Europe (The UK) the only way to obtain this paint colour is to have an Aerosol Can made specially at extortionate prices........which I refuse to pay.
Any help or experience greatly appreciated !

Might sound strange but check out a "nail-polish" display. There's some funky colors out there. A color that's close could be tinted with a drop or two of another color.

I think that's what he's trying to avoid!
I've used blended nail--polish to touch-up small chips, with good success. You don't need to buy the $10.00+ a bottle brand name stuff. $$$ / discount stores carry cheap products so you can easily get several bottles to blend for only a few $$. Just keep track of the base color and the color(s) - number of drops - used to tint.

McZee,
Thanks for your reply..................I have tried RS Paints and others like them, but their prices are just a complete RIP OFF for a can of paint (about £30 delivered) so I reuse to deal with them.
Thanks
