Tank Badges? was created by A1
Hi, can anyone tell me where I might source some replica tank badges for the smaller square 20 litre size petrol tank (182mm long, hole centres at 142mm).
I can see there are 178mm versions available on ebay (hole centres at 138mm), I can’t see them fitting?
Thanks in advance....
Andy

Zed-Parts Ltd in the UK list 56014-1043 with these fitment details;
Z550 A1-A2-A3-A4-D1-H1-H2
Z750 E1-E2-E3-F1-K1-L3-L4-M1-N1-N2-R1
Z1000 J1-J2-J3-K1-K2-M1-M2-R1-R2
Z1100 A1-A2-A3-B1-B2-D1-D2-L1
Z1300 A1-A2-A3-A4 USA small tank
Will not fit the UK z1300 Tank
www.zed-parts.com/product-page/56014-1043-tank-badge-each
Now I assume what's meant by 'UK' tank is the large square one, as that was originally Euro only?
Partzilla also confirms this part number is a fitment for US (KZ) A1/2/3/4 models although I'd be a bit suspicious of them all being the same?
Possible if they're all the smaller tank type.
As ever, best check with Zed-Parts re stoxk left & right, and those critical hole centres.
They're a very helpful bunch.
Out of interest, do you have both emblem mounts (the chrome bases) ?
They're the bits killing me!
Richard.

Thanks Richard, I will be sending an enquiry in their direction…
Yes, I have both plastic chromed badge bases but the chrome (paint?) has been polished bare in places.
Has anyone tried that rattle can chrome paint finish – to any good effect?

I have used "rattle can " chrome finish. I caution you though- when you prep the piece for spraying, use 2000 paper. Otherwise all of the fine scratches from the sandpaper will show up in the finished product.
