Is the kz1300 gas tank smaller than the Touring gas tank? Anyone know the dimensions of the Touring tank at its widest points left to right sides? Thx

Touring model-“B”- is 2.1g bigger
It is bulgier and taller
Emblems(badges) pedestals are different and do NOT interchange. “B” is rare and highly desired, when in good condition-$500 and up

There are the total of 3 tanks:
KZ1300: 20.5 & 21.4 litres (peanut-tank/ the round one and the more cubic one as shown on the photo)
Z1300 & (K)Z1300 B1: 27 litres
sorry, no idea about the dimensions though I believe that the square-ones can be easily changed.

Measuring both while still mounted on the bike i get - 1980 kz 17 3/4" wide,24" long, and 9 1/2" tall at the gas cap. 1980 kz b-2 touring 18" wide,24" long, 10 3/4" tall. Like i said thats still mounted on the bikes so i may be off by a small amount. Hope this helps.

Why Have Four When You Can Have Six ?

DO NOT FORGET.............
If you fit the LARGER Euro / Touring tank to a KZ, the R/H handlebar switch is different as the throttle cables comes out of the BOTTOM on the KZ switch and out of the TOP on the Z switch, to allow for the larger tank.
