Hi all, just thought i'd mention that i'm getting my tank badge stand off thingies (big tank), you know the chrome plastic build up bits copied, going to try this 3D printing stuff, found a guy who has a posh printer and I lent him my ones to do a couple of copies, he's going to use a plastic like ABS ??, I think that's what he said, and they should be pretty cheap to print, hardest thing is to get the file done for the printer, he knows a smart guy whos good at CAD so he's asking him to do the file, i'll post photos if and when they get done, also I do believe that they can be chromed, lets see, cheers Pete.

I put a pod filter design on thingiverse a while back.

I wanted to get the main aluminium plate CNC machined but the quotes I got were astronomical. So I made some MDF jigs and used a router with 1/2" bit to very slowly machine it. It didn't come out as well as I'd expected but it's perfectly usable.
