Hmmmmm ?   Thanks to all the chatter 'bought the Mechanical water-pump seal; mine decided to let go this past weekend !
I guess I can't complain, given it's at least 10 yrs old and was matched a a Pump Repair business. It was a generic so no # on the seal and as it didn't come in a package any chance of tracing it is impossible.
I'm draining the coolant as I write this and THIS TIME I'll measure it, record those specs and then start searching.
It's very puzzling to think that in ALL these years NO ONE has delved into a cross match.
For what it's worth: I reused this same seal when I did the top-end rebuild 3 yrs ago and it's been fine until now !
