Aftermarket Radiator for ZN1300 Voyager or KZ1300
6 months 1 week ago

Does anyone know where a new aftermarket radiator can be obtained worldwide for either ZN1300 or Z1300.
Has anyone had success fitting another brand of radiator.
I have bought two s/h radiators only to find extensive corrosion on both.

Personally, I would start by going to a local rad shop and see if they can recore your rad. Usually the upper and lower tanks are fine and the core is the problem.
I stumbled across this site. Randy's Cycle Service and Restoration. They picture a replacement aluminum rad for the KZ1300. Might be worth a call.

I have that one. Custom built. Beautiful.

My custom built radiator
The builder actually engraved his signature on the radiator.. Whoever he/she is, they are a true artisan.

    Thanks for replying guys.
I contacted Randy's Cycle Service and Restoration, and he was up for a reply which was great. A copy FYI is below.
Thank you for contacting us.
We used to have those radiators available, but the company that was manufacturing them for us went under about 10 years ago, so we no longer have a source, and demand was so limited after the first run of them we never pursued another manufacturer. I don't know of anyone else doing them, but there was a company in Germany that did a lot of NOS KZ1300 parts that may have some leads: kz1300.com I have not dealt with them in a number of years, so I don't know if they are still doing parts or not, but they may be worth a try.
