Huh ?? Looking at the Service Manual for the 79 KZ1300A1 BP6ES or BPR6ES.
Will post up a pic soon... but the oem sticker on seat pan says BP8ES? Maybe I should have glasses on when trying to read fine print?
More to come..

Got the 8 from OEM sticker on seat pan?
<sigh>Will look again, this time wearing glasses... </sigh>
Owners manual is specific...

My eyeballs were correct..
Under the seat.. B8ES.

And check out the 1.75 turns for Pilot Scew?
Perhaps for California smog induced El Toro Poo-Poo regulations?

yes, that does disagree with the manual. Most owners run BPR6ES. I run the Iridium equivalent.  Some owners even run BPR5ES.

Now I don't know which is correct - but I'll stick with the plug temperature that I've used for 28 years

Yep. I'm going to try the 8's tomorrow, but will carry tools and qty 6 good BPR6ES plugs just in case.... I wonder if it might be a California model thing?
