2 years 10 months ago - 2 years 10 months agoHuh ?? Looking at the Service Manual for the 79 KZ1300A1 BP6ES or BPR6ES.
Will post up a pic soon... but the oem sticker on seat pan says BP8ES? Maybe I should have glasses on when trying to read fine print?
More to come..
Got the 8 from OEM sticker on seat pan?
<sigh>Will look again, this time wearing glasses... </sigh>
Owners manual is specific...

Re: Rings finally settling in? and BP8Es vs BP6Es plugs?

My eyeballs were correct..
Under the seat.. B8ES.
And check out the 1.75 turns for Pilot Scew?
Perhaps for California smog induced El Toro Poo-Poo regulations?

yes, that does disagree with the manual. Most owners run BPR6ES. I run the Iridium equivalent. Some owners even run BPR5ES.
Now I don't know which is correct - but I'll stick with the plug temperature that I've used for 28 years
