how to silence collector boxes
3 years 7 months ago
I'm running a spare engine as a static engine. I hope to fire this engine up regularly and keep it s a running spare.
YouTube video
The engine has standard header pipes and collector boxes but it's still going to be too loud and annoy the neighbours.
My question is: will putting baffles into the rear of the collector boxes silence it at all or do I need to get a silencer made up to fit? If so should I buy a bike rear silencer/muffler or can one be fabricated in some Heath Robinson way from an old paint or baked bean can or something?
