Exhaust header gaskets

#25239
Hi, I am new to Forums and my 1981 Kawasaki KZ 1300. Engine No.KTZ 30AE 014823 purchased from the South of Australia.

I live in Far North Queensland. (tropics) and although I have lived here for many years I have not seen a KZ 1300 on the road.

Have been trying to find an "exploded parts" diagram showing the header exhaust gasket arrangement. When I dismantled mine, there were only the split metal half moons which hold the header pipes in place .I am wondering if there should be a copper squash gasket of sorts as well. Can any one advise please .

You are correct they have crushable copper type gaskets

this should give you the part No

kawaski.com have parts listings and exploded diagrams for all/many of their bikes. Select Owner Center, then Parts, then scroll down and select Motorcycle in Category.
