I would assume that you used an assembly oil/grease when putting the engine parts back together- for instance - on those piston wrist pins. And when you get to the cams and chains etc. , save a litre of oil from the crankcase and pour it over all those parts the best you can.

i think everyone has there own preferences on assembly lubricants.
i use a thin smear of graphite assembly compound just to help while waiting for the oil pressure to build up.

Hi,
since I'm new to this forum and doesn't like to ask without contributing I wanted to show you what I did with my Big Bore kit which I also bought for very little money from the ebay source in Japan. When the cylinders came back from the machining I was really scared to put them on the Engine! I made contact with Mr. Egli in Swizzerland to get an experienced advice! He said that the wall thickness at the cylinder bottom end is ok But it looks really scary! I will see how it works....
Greetings
Karl

Karl:
Man those sleeves sure are thin.
It will be interesting to see how those bores hold up over time.
Keep us posted.

I would have no hesitation using them with the thin walls as there is so very little stress down there at the bottom of the bores.

@RickG: This is what Mr. Egli also said and since the Cylinder Sleeves are having more wall thickness inside the block it should not be a problem. We will see.....
