A unique Cam-cover

Found this by sheer luck at a Canadian Kawi. dealer that was cleaning off the shelves of old/obsolete parts! As produced by the factory it did have some miles on it judging by some light dirt/oil. Never see one without the Air-Injection housings!
It will be polished !

The UK bikes don't have air injection. I swapped mine and removed all the air injection paraphernalia. The only difference I noticed was that it stopped popping out the exhaust when I closed the throttle going down hill.

Actually Helmut has one for sale in his chrome section. You'll need a bank loan for it, haha

That is different. My 79 (Canadian) had the castings for the reed valves in the cover but they were blocked off.

Yes, they are very unique . We must be the only two people in the whole country that have one

Another strange piece on this bike is the header pipes- with the "fittings " for the exhaust sensor for a fuel injected engines. How did they ever get on a bike like this , with its very low engine number is rather curious.
