Now that I saw Scotch post a few photos, including that of the 'mushroom', here is what came out of my bike. If that's how they are machined, mine looks still pretty new. Which wouldn't surprise me at all. All the inside of the engine compartment, which usually gets yellow with time, in my case was clean silver aluminum. So, perhaps for the record, this is how a new one would look.

Jeez, I just vomited ! Looks like the bike was stored at the bottom of a well ! The steel plates cleaned beautifully and those friction plates look newer!

hahaha Me too. When the bike is done, or almost done, I will make a 'before and after' side by side gallery. People will realize what the hell I've been dealing with, on my sixth floor!!
When I removed the cylinder head, the clutch, man, my head started to spin I didn't even have strength to vomit. Especially, I was looking at my bike!!!
So good an lucky the seals were great and all such crap was kept away from the main crankcase chamber so I don't have to split it.

Oh yeah, perhaps would had been better if they used Rotella? hahaha
Let me know what you did and will do, regarding oil.
