Remove the engine from the frame
8 years 5 hours ago - 8 years 1 hour ago
Hello guys
I decided to restore to my new Z1300 A3 and I need help.
I have to remove the engine from the chassis, you know if you can 'take off the engine of the A3 without removing the oil pan? The manual talks about but not seen the space seems to me that the oil sump should be removed ..
Thank you
Guido
P.S.
Sorry for my english but I'm using the Google translator

I just thought you might like to know, that even though you are using Google Translator, the translation is pretty good. Your question was completely understandable. I just thought I would post this information so that others on this site know that it is a good tool for helping communicate.
Keep the questions coming. We are here to help.

I removed the oil sump and found this piece of gum inside the tube

What function does the valve?
Then I found a small piece of brown color plastic but I lost was about 4mmx5mm thickness of 2mm, what can 'be?
Thanks

I am pretty sure that valve is the oil pressure relief valve which limits the maximum oil pressure in the system. The hole in the side of the valve is where the excess oil gets dumped back into the oil sump.
The piece that is stuck in the valve, is it plastic or rubber? You are going to have to figure out what it is. It looks like a piece of a square O-ring.
