Trikebldr had started a writeup on his Hondasaki rear drive. He took a Gold Wing rear end and adopted it to fit the KZ.

Hey there
I know there is a guy in Germany who built a reverse gear (a real one, no electrical fuss) for the sidecar. Maybe he knows more about it:

regards,
Holger

I read an article somewhere that Allen Millyard, when he built the V12 Z1300, converted the primary drive ratios to give taller overall gearing. Don't have any more details than that, but food for thought?

rough calculations,
4000 rpm= 70 MPH
10,000 = 2.5 X 70 MPH = 175 MPH. Yup that's giddy up speed. More info PLEASE!!! Turbo, boost pressure.....
