Typical operating temp for these bikes?

If anyone has ever ran a temperature gauge with numbers, what has your bike (in proper condition) been running at?
I put a gauge on my voyager today and was surprised to see it was running at 220-230 the entire time, sometimes climbing towards 240. Now it has never boiled over or anything, and the fan always cycled on and off when sitting in traffic so I never suspected it of overheating before
Is this normal? Even on a 100 degree track day I never see my R6 climb over 220, its a bit alarming to see the voyager operate this high.
Hopefully the gauge is just lying to me, I'm going to test it when I have time.

I'll hazard a guess and say you are talking about Fahrenheit rather than celsius? When measuring my temp with multimeter mine was in the realms of 120-130 at operating temp. At least that was on the cylinders that were working

Correct, I listed in Fahrenheit
My range in Celsius would be ~105-~115.
So you can get an actual temperature reading from the stock sensor with a multimeter? I put an aftermarket gauge in

I am chasing over heating too. 79A1. Routinely in the 212 to 240 F even in 68 F ambient (cool) conditions. Fan runs almost continuously.
I've checked thermostat, replaced 2 row stock radiator with custom built 3 row, checked ignition timing, fuel mixture. All are good.
My motor is fresh from rebuild. In my case, I think I have the exhaust cam 1 tooth retarded - and not letting all the exhaust gases escape. But this would not be your situation.

Do the KZ's have the radiator bypass valve? And do they have the problem with the water pump impeller not turning when the clip on the end of the shaft gets worn out?
My radiator looks great inside, coolant has always come out clean so I have no reason to believe its a flow issue. Right now I'm suspecting either my gauge being wrong, the radiator bypass being open, or my water pump having issues

I measured on the exhaust pipe nearest the engine but you could do the same with the stock sensor. When I measured mine I was diagnosing a cylinder not firing/misfiring.
As long as your multimeter supports temperature.
