Previous owner blues
Looks like the 'valve seat-springs' were not installed at some stage. I cant see them anywhere, unless I am missing something and I have been accused of that before .
Wonder what sort of consequences this has?

Are you sure they aren't in there? They can sometimes be hard to spot / dig out.
Without them the valve springs might / should / probably will slowly dig their way into the head underneath the buckets. And you'll have slightly less valve spring pressure.
How does it look down there? Any damage?

BTW - pretty sure it's a valve spring seat, not a valve seat spring......but might have been lost in translation....

aaahhhh!! Those shiny round metal things still sitting in the chamber. I was lucky not lose the no. 2 that had it's seal disintegrated.
The diagram is a bit misleading because it looks like the sit on top/underneath of the valve seal.
It is referred to in the parts diagram as 'Seat-spring,valve'. Valve seats, seat springs, no wonder I get confused :blink:
