engine transplant

Hi Guys
has anyone in the club put a later model engine in an A1 frame, reason i ask is i have got hold of an A4 or A5 motor which is said to be running [i brought it for spares] and I was wondering how many detail changes especially wiring there is,obviously its a different cdi just curious really

All carb engines will fit all frames.A1/A2/A3/A4/A5.

The wiring harness is very different from model to model though. A1 + A2 the same, but A3 different A4 different and A5 different due to position of ignition pick-ups and CDI Unit.

Other than that is a direct fit.
