Dyna coils was created by Ager
Hi i am very close to firing up my 13 after a three year rebuild i have just received some dyna coils should i dump the ballast resistor when i install these

I recently installed the Accel coils which are also 3 ohm. The instructions specifically say DO NOT use the ballast resistor.

If they are the green 3 ohm Dyna coils then you need to get rid of the ballast resistor

Best be safe and check the ohms on the primary side from each double coil. Turn your multimeter to the lowest ohm rating and connect the wires to the flat connectors on the coil.
If the reading is 3 ohms +/- 0.5 ohms, you are OK. When getting rid of the ballast resistor, just connect the three cables coming out of the white resistor block to the single in feed of the resistor.

Yes they are the green 3 ohm coils so i think it is best i do not connect the resistor have read it can fry the cdi unit with it in place
