If this igniter sells for anywhere near $200.00 it will be a bargain. The original list price from Kawasaki was over $800.00.
Not everything on eBay is overpriced, and thank God we have it as a resource.
Those of us older GUYS recall life before the web, and how hard it was to locate parts, outside of the dealership. It's been a long time since I have had to rummage through the salvage yard.
Since eBay and other auctions like it, it sure has saved me a lot of time and money.
When comparing an auction asking price, I always look at Kawasaki's list price. Anything that is a fraction of that OEM list price I count it as a bargain. Then factor that these items are obsolete.
Regards all.
Todd.

You are very right on with the junk yard. Be 68 in Oct and been riding since I was 16. A lot of trips for old parts to repair all the bikes I have had. 1st one was a 305 super hawk and now have 1971 cb750, 1981 cb650c (wife's), 1984 GPz550 and the 1980 kz1300 which I am trying to get going. Just got my service manual and it will give me time before the nice weather gets here in Canada, only 1 good day so far. Thanks for the help, Reid

On the BMW forum I also frequent there is a guy in England who is 86 and still riding.
About 12 months ago his family convinced him to give it away so he begrudgingly sold his collection of K bikes and rapidly went into withdrawal. Within 3 weeks he said stuff em and went out and bought another bike and is still riding. He said that when he is riding he just feels good and age doesn't matter.

One of the bike mags should do an article on this guy, sounds like he would have some great experiences to share.
