Good point... I've cleaned only the switch on the dashboard... not the one on the side... will try to clean it... thanks!roadhazard wrote: Check the main switch behind the left side cover. I have not looked at this switch for some time but see if there is a hole on the body of the switch. Attempt to spray some deoxit (electrical contact cleaner) from the outside.
In other words, try the least intrusive way first.
While its off the frame, I would take a look at, and spray the connectors on both sides of the harness.
Then take a volt/ohm meter and test it per the shop manual. This will be the most conclusive test to see if the switch is passing the continuity test.
