Carmo electronics IC Igniter
3 months 2 weeks ago
Has anybody fitted one, if so did you have to change coils also?
Pick up coils measure good but obviously the igniter wont ring out according to the manual as the internals are different.
I only get a spark as I turn the ignition off, nothing under cranking. any ideas?
I did liase with a Robert from Carmo about the coil resistors. He says they are not needed.

I put in some new coils from
SPAREPARTS
that work without resistance.
I asked the Carmo distributor if their product was compatible with these coils and their answer was that they didn't know, besides if it didn't work they wouldn't give me back the abusive money that their product costs.
I ended up fitting a used ignitor from a French parts dealer FRANK .
Also check the ignition pads, I had one fail when it got hot, i buy it in Z1300.de .
