Fuel level sender

I recently  had to replace the fuel pump on my '05 Hyundai Santa Fe.  I had the old one on the bench for a few days and I kept looking at the fuel sender.  "What are the odds?", I asked myself.

I checked the resistance at FULL and EMPTY and found the following:The relative “full” and “empty” position of the float is the same as the 1300.Empty:  121.5 ohms.  The 1300 manual indicates a value of 102 – 118  ohmsFull :  4.3 ohms.   The 1300 manual indicates a value of .5 – 5.5 ohms.

I've got this sending unit tucked away !

You think it's adaptable to the KZ fuel tank?

I've read that an original VW Beetle sender is a direct bolt-in replacement but I've not seen any reports on the resistance values

see eBay item 265780457136 (wouldn't accept a hyperlink)

I actually bought one of the VW beetle fuel senders. The bolt pattern DID match up. The gasket that came with it was too big, but that was easy to replace. The arm holding the float is a little long and I probably cut it down a bit. However, I cleaned my factory fuel sender which ended up being in better shape and used it instead
