If you're replacing a broken indicator pointer - no problem. If the pointer is intact - DO NOT PUT the unit face down - Especially on a towel !
Yes - Carefully push it out.

I've done it! I was just afraid of the unknown, not being sure if the applied pressure will make it or break it. All went smooth
I need to replace one light bulb and the tach needle, and all can go back together.
It would be good to replace the sponge bit around where the turn signal light goes - it is disintegrated. . I'll need to look around, for something solid but soft at the same time, cut a thin strip and glue it on. But what could it be?...

I'm curious.. The face seems to be coated with a powdery like finish. I guess it's to be anti reflective. Is there any medium out there available to coat surfaces this way, especially for such delicate items?

Stan: Where did you get the replacement needle - or is that just the original one glued back on?
