Cheers for info, prior to removal the fuel pump activated but after testing I can hear an audible click but the pump fails to work now
It is not your run of the mill relay as it has 2 multi pin connectors and if a new one was available it would cost £95 about a 100 USD.
It was also fitted to the fuel ingested Kawasaki's from 82 to 85 GPZ 1100 and the 750 turbos, I have traced a couple of used ones in France and Germany(non in the UK) I will order one of them today and go from there ,
The bike was running great before I stripped it to powder coat the frame.
Thanks for your assistance, i will post my progress while I attempt to get this bike running as it may help others

Well after a month or so of head scratching the Z1300 DFI now starts first time and runs on all 6 cylinders as it should. I replaced the main relay that sorted the power to the control unit, but still no joy on the button, so I then removed the wires from the connector block that goes to the control unit a number of the connections needed a little tightening, but 4 of them had green monkey disease( not visible until wire was removed from block) so got rid of this then moved on to every connector block and removed the wires were I could or scraped out the female connector with a dental pick and sprayed with contact cleaner.
Thanks to all that gave me help when I needed it, and for everyone the has posted thier own problems and fixes
