has finally arrived (a HAWKER Odyssey PC680) and it has been a hassle to get it. Had to order it in France to get it delivered to my boss who then brought it to work. Whatever.
Now is it is smaller in terms of width and length I have so far worked with wedges made from styroform to keep it place. I know that there are some inventive geniuses around here, how would you solve it ?
Original is 205 x 87 x 162mms (W x L x H)
mine is 180 x 74 x 162mms
Any ideas ?
regards,
Holger

I just installed mine into a corner all the way at the back and then used the standard Z1300 battery clamp to clamp it into place. I think I might have had to use a longer bolt to get the clamp to press down on the smaller battery height.

I would be tempted to use 1/2" Styrofoam sheeting and sandwich the battery between 2 pieces to make up the 180mm to 205mm and then one piece on one side to make up the 74mm to 87mm. You absolutely don't want that battery moving//vibrating around in the battery tray. The Styrofoam is impervious to the possible small leaks of battery acid and will provide a certain amount of vibration dampening. You can paint it with latex paint if you choose and down the road if you decide to change out the battery for a more conventional battery, it's easy enough to remove and go back to a standard battery.

Judging from the measurements given they are both the same height - so it's just a matter of packing out the depth so the battery sits under the clamp.
Like Kawboy has suggested pack some Styrofoam sheet behind the battery to hold out it to the LHS of the tray. Cut a 1" thick piece of the Styrofoam and duct tape it to the side of the battery so it doesn't move / fall out.

Thanks to all, that's some food for thought.
Weather is picking up, still it is f....freezing cold, time to invest in getting some "adapter" for it.
Cheers, I am raising my glass to you
