yes the lights on the panel are on, oil and neutral. I'm going to take the start switch apart and clean it as it doesn't seem very positive when I depress it,
I have the owners manual now, downloaded it this morning.

Before you do that, why not jumper the starter relay and see if the starter motor turns over. Which brings to mind, does the relay click when you depress the starter button? No point taking the starter button apart if the relay is engaging.

Good idea, I'll locate and put power to the start relay, No I cannot hear the relay click when I depress the start button.

fFnally making progress!!! I found a small yellow/red wire coming from the starter relay with a knob and socket connector lose. After connecting it and pressing the start button the start relay clattered so my battery voltage is down. Actually the V was reading 8.3 on my last meter check so its on charge and heres hoping it will engage and turn the starter,

I got it started, the start switch is bad and low batteries, the bike battery and my jumper battery. I got a $5.00 push button switch from Canadian tire and plugged it into the harness and it started instantly.
