Why does it take two weeks to change a tire?

Why does it take days to do a rear tire change?
Well, shock absorbers must be removed, brackets, moved, and jacks used to raise the swing arm so that the axle can clear the muffler.
Then, of course it's time to clean and inspect everything while you have access.
I removed the rotor, cleaned up the bulkhead, using a Dremel, also cleaned the rotor.
Did a rotor inspection and tested for flatness and thickness.
Polished the spacer, which really needs to be chromed.
Cleaned and polished the rear rim. Installed and balanced the tire.
First time trying the Michelin road classics.
Serviced the progressive, suspension shocks, but they are toast. One of them makes a pretty serious clinking sound when turned upside down.
Leads me to believe something internally has broken.
I even cleaned up and waxed the center stand.
Time to move onto the front tire, hopefully it'll be easier.
Forgot to mention, I had to fix the tire changer too.
And that's how they can take two weeks to change one tire!

Yep, equipment needs maintenance too. What did you have to do for the tire machine? Where did you get such a gem by the way?
Didn't notice it till now that. Tire machine pales in comparison to that lift. Is it poured into/onto a concrete slab?

And that's why I consider the $50.00 a dealer charges to re & re a tire c/w balancing (and 1 hour of my time) is a.... BARGAIN !

Tire machine rotation had become sluggish. My shade tree shop is powered, literally, from an extension cord plugged into the double-wide trailer. LOL. You might be a redneck if.... But the tire machine draws too much current, so I fire up two Yamaha generators that are in parallel.
On the changer, tightened the belt from the motor to the transmission, then checked trans fluid level. It was still sluggish which got me to thinking about the generators. Each generator has a little green light that illuminates indicating AC power is present, is being generated. There's also a red light for a default overlook condition.
What I discovered is that one generator can be off-line and still show the green light because the other generator is online and they are in parallel.
So the real fix was to shut both generators down, fire them back up and get to work.
So really the issue is one of my generators is going off-line due to overload too early. I'll have to take it to a shop as I know nothing about that stuff.
The lift is on a concrete pad, but it is not bolted down. I can move the lift using my tractor if I need to do work on a truck or something.
