What size rear have you chosen for the KZ1300? I noticed some owners have gone for 140 section rather than 130.

Hi Don,
I just purchased a No Mar tire changer and have been learning just how stubborn modern tires are. I put a set of Dunlop Elite 4's on my KZ and I've got to agree with the tech from No Mar, who said in one of their Youtube videos, that "These tires are so rigid that they'd run flat just fine".
At least Dunlop did put a dot on the light spot of the tire. I put a set of Michelin Pilots on a friend's 1400 Concours that lacked any sort of lite spot marking. I had to rotate that tire on the wheel three times before I could balance it with less than six weights. The only marking on the Michelin tires was a small bar code tag on the bead, which I took to be the lite spot mark.
I did try your 90 degree balancing technique and agree it's a better way to static balance a motorcycle tire.
Regards
Bill

1 day 19 hours ago - 1 day 19 hours agoHi Jim, I stuck with the 130's. Hoping the Michelin Classics are slightly taller as I can't lift to centerstand currently without riding on top of 1/2" piece of plywood...What size rear have you chosen for the KZ1300? Bill... Agree. The Atlas changer I have has an additional 'foot' to keep the bead opposite the duck head centered... which allows easier install.. It's a brilliant piece of engineering and makes all the difference in the world.
I'm still learning how to properly use the changer. My guess is when all these tires are installed, I'll have it mastered.
...and I started off on rims that aren't pristine, just in case...
...and I off to do more tires!

Gotta watch out. With a machine like yours you're likely to be blessed with way more of these than I am with my budget changer.
