Kawasaki 1300 model designtions ?

The above vin decal is from one of my bikes -built in February 1979 with a frame number of around 750.  If we accept that in 1979 Kawasaki made 6100 motorcycles and extrapolate that over 12 months, that equates to about 500 bikes a month- so using that formula my bike was probably made in the middle of February- your bike sometime in April.

I purchased the VIN Sticker from Rick Brett and he reckons my bike was built in 10/79. In that case, Kawasaki made only around a thousand bikes in the 8 month period. 
Either Rick's dating may have some inaccuracies or Kawasaki made very few bikes in 79. What do you think?

I tried to do the math as following:
- 1979 the A1 had been introduced to the market, with frames from KZT30A-000101 - KTZ30A-005618 
- 1980 the A2 came into the market with frames from KZT30A-006201- KZT30A-010993
- 1981 the A3 came into the market with frames from KZT30AE011501 - KZT30AE014100
- 1982 the A4 came into the market with frames from KZT30AE014101 - KZT30AE015439
- 1983 the A5 came into the market with frames starting with KZT30A- 015901.

So in theory they made the following number in the year:
1979: 5517
1980: 4792
1981: 2599
1982: 1338

There is quite a difference between the years, provided that the numbers are correct. And this refers only to what Kawasaki put on the market, not what they produced. Average of those four years is 3561.5, so I guess that the number produced varies between 2500-4500 per year. I own a bike that had been reassembled beginning of the nineties with a frame no of around 4000 with an engine with below 300.
