Beautiful. absolutely beautiful. Looks like it just came out of the crate and got waxed. Brings back so many memories. My last H2 was a 74 in dark green metallic. Sold it to fund the KZ1300 project. Also had a KH500 at the same time that went too . Nothing like laying down a streak of grey smoke to leave a mark. I still have 10 bottles of Klotz in the cabinet and run my weed whacker and leaf blower on it just to remind me of "Let the good times roll"

Thanks for sharing.

Awesome ride! Never rode one, can only imagine.

I’ve ridden a few H1’s back in the day and they could be quite scary, not so much the power but the handling. Word has it that Kawasaki bought a special grade of rubber to manufacture the frame from No doubt modern tyres and suspension will have calmed them down a bit. I’ve only ever ridden a H2 once on a demonstration ride at the local dealership back in 1974 and as a 20yr old I was very impressed. Unfortunately my ex wife put the blocks on me buying it. I’ve only had the new bike two days and it’s never stopped raining so she’s still tucked up nice and dry in the living room

The H1 was like pulling the pin on a grenade @ 6000 rpm, then there was the high speed front end wobble that occur at about 110 mph if you forgot to crank down the steering damper. Had that happen to me several times but strong arms and gripping the tank with your thighs kept me from going down. Never got to the point where I needed a 6" wide scraper to clean out the underwear, thank God.
The H2 was a little more forgiving. The power seems to come on strong at 5000 rpm but not like the H1. It just rolled on strong where the H1 was like someone opened up the NOS tank. My H2 had a set of Wirges on it and I think the compression had been raised. it was like kicking over a mule and God help you if you didn't follow through on the kick and it happened to backfire. I swear it would almost break your ankle. Now I also had a 1972 350 triple and when it was warm, I could start it with my hand.
