Holy Moley! KZ 1300 sold for 16,500 dollars.

I just watched a 1985 1300 sell for 16,500 bucks. Didn't look like anything special either.Just a stock bike. Looked to be in good shape but dang, 16,500 dollars! I love my 2 bikes but i'd let them go at that price in a heartbeat. Mecum Auctions in Las Vegas.

I take it that's in USD ?? Hey Stan, you could sell yours and maybe break even. For Dion, $16,500 would be a bargain. Dion could post some numbers that would make your hair curl. Cheaper to buy a Benz in NZ than a bike.

I'm reading that it's part of a collection out of Stockholm (MC Collection of Stockholm). That may contribute to the value as well.

Nice to hear these news! I think my bike is one of the best documented rebuilds. That should be a good sales point, just need to make into a little pamphlet
As much as I hate them, I'd even add all the correct fresh warning labels that KZ is originally plastered with, haha I'd bet it's the only in the world KZ1300 build six floors off the ground that took an elevator!
Yes, as much as close to my heart this bike is, for a similar price I would let it go to a new home. I'd know it will be cherished. I'd break even, I'd get healthier, and it would drastically speed up building another one.
